An exciting opportunity to join our team here at Old Court Farm, running our on-farm anaerobic digestion plant near Shobdon, Herefordshire.
This is a farm-based AD plant, being fed mainly maize, beet, potatoes and poultry litter. The plant then produces electric for onsite use or fed into the national grid, as well hot water for various on-site uses.
This salaried role is 4 days on, 3 days off. with a requirement to work weekends.
We offer a very competitive bonus scheme bonus working at hitting margins over 90% running time.
The Role Involves
Using plant machinery - telehandlers to feed the plant / load digestate.
General housekeeping to maintain a clean safe site.
Completion of daily checks and logs to high standards using system.
Periodic meter readings.
Site monitoring and adjustments to optimise plant.
Perform preliminary fault finding preventative & breakdown maintenance.
Taking samples for analysis - digestate, engine oils, etc
Health and Safety compliances.
Compliance with EA Permit associated with Plant.
The successful applicant will have an ability to work well in a team environment and have a passion to learn new technology.
Good background experience and knowledge of AD plants and basic agriculture
Telehandler knowledge and maintenance
Good understanding of mechanical & fluid engineering.
Hard working personality who enjoys using their own initiative.
Attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
Practically minded.
Reliable and good timekeeping
