Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Project Activator to support families across Aberdeen through sport and physical activity. This part-time role is ideal for someone who believes in the power of movement to strengthen family bonds, improve wellbeing, and build inclusive communities. You'll be part of a collaborative environment between Sport Aberdeen and Action for Children's Priority Family team, working to make sport and exercise accessible and enjoyable for all.
What You'll Be Doing:
Delivering inclusive sport and exercise sessions tailored for young people and families in community settings. Collaborating with schools, local organisations, and community centres to identify and engage families who would benefit from support. Promoting physical activity as a tool for improving mental health, relationship building, and overall wellbeing. Supporting Active Schools programmes and events that encourage young people and their families to participate. Gathering feedback and monitoring impact to help shape future delivery.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children, families, or in community sport settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A flexible, empathetic, and proactive approach to engaging diverse communities. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Passionate about using sport to create positive change.
