About the Role
We are recruiting a Safeguarding and Operations Coordinator to oversee the safe, effective and efficient running of our services. This role sits within the operations team and is central to the wider business. The postholder will act as the organisation's designated safeguarding lead, as well as the primary point of contact for data reporting and system management.
The role reports directly to the Clinical Lead and will work closely with the Head of Sales and Marketing, the Chief Executive Officer, mentors, and the trustee board. The postholder will play a vital role in ensuring that safeguarding standards are upheld, operational systems run smoothly, and that data informs organisational strategy and delivery.
Key Interactions
The postholder will work closely with mentors to resolve system issues and handle safeguarding issues, with the Head of Sales and Marketing and Clinical Lead to provide accurate data reports, and with clients to ensure enquiries are responded to and escalated appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the designated safeguarding lead for all cases, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practice standards
Pull and interpret data reports for the Head of Sales and Marketing and the Clinical Lead to support decision making and identify opportunities
Serve as the system expert, supporting mentors with issue resolution and ensuring gold standard processes are consistently followed
Respond promptly to client enquiries, escalating matters where appropriate to ensure high quality service delivery
Support organisational events and activities where safeguarding or operational expertise is required
Provide regular safeguarding and operations updates to the leadership team

Short term: Establish clear safeguarding protocols, ensure accurate reporting systems are in place, and resolve any immediate operational issues
Medium term: Embed consistent use of gold standard systems and processes across all teams, demonstrate improved efficiency in data reporting, and strengthen safeguarding practices through training and monitoring
Long term: Position the organisation as a recognised leader in safeguarding excellence and operational efficiency, ensuring systems and processes are fully integrated to support sustainable growth
Scope for Progression
The role provides an opportunity for progression into a safeguarding, and operations lead role with greater responsibility of a safeguarding team, policy leadership, and external regulatory engagement.
Person Specification
Education and Training
Degree or equivalent professional experience in operations, safeguarding, or a related field
Formal safeguarding training with evidence of regular updates and professional development
Knowledge of operational systems and data management processes
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in safeguarding leadership within education, healthcare, charity, or similar settings
Strong operational skills including system management and process improvement
Experience of handling client enquiries and escalating issues appropriately
Skilled in data collection, analysis and reporting for senior decision making
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners

Location and Travel
The post is remote, with occasional travel to Milton Keynes for team meetings. Regular travel around the UK, with a focus on home counties, is required to meet partners, deliver events, and support the CEO in delivering events.
