Safeguarding Caseworker
to join our Safeguarding and Counselling team. This is a vital role where you'll make a real difference to the lives of students and apprentices across our campuses.
About the Role
As a Safeguarding Caseworker, you'll be the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, providing expert advice, support, and referrals. You'll work closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure students and apprentices are protected and supported in line with legislation and best practice.
Essential Criteria
We're looking for someone who can bring the following to the role:
A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience relevant to safeguarding
Experience working in an educational or similar setting, supporting young people or vulnerable adults
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and Prevent legislation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work sensitively and professionally
Confidence in managing referrals and working with external agencies
Key Responsibilities
Provide safeguarding, Prevent and child protection support to students and apprentices
Act as a central contact for safeguarding concerns and manage referrals to external services
Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with legislation and college policy
Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, including Early Help and Child Protection conferences
Deliver CPD and training sessions on safeguarding and Prevent
Work collaboratively with local safeguarding partnerships and internal teams
Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Stay up to date with safeguarding developments and undertake relevant training

The LET's Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
