As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse to take a leading role across our organisation.
The Role
This is a part-time leadership opportunity for a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and significant experience in Safeguarding, Care Planning and Clinical Governance. You will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of clinical safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all safeguarding processes, ensuring timely reporting, investigation, and resolution in accordance with local authority and CQC standards.
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the service, offering expert advice and support to staff.
Contribute to person-centred, outcome focused care planning supporting our team of Trusted Assessors, ensuring care and support is holistic, enabling and remains compliant.
Develop and implement comprehensive clinical governance frameworks, including audits, quality assurance, incident management, and risk assessments in conjunction with our external clinical governance team.
Provide ongoing mentorship and supervision to care staff on safeguarding, clinical best practices, and policies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legislation, policies, and best practice guidance.
Support service reviews and contribute to regulatory inspections and action plans.
Work collaboratively with management, local authorities, healthcare professionals, and regulators.
Balance office-based responsibilities with the flexibility of hybrid working.
Requirements
Current registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disability).
Extensive experience in safeguarding and clinical governance within a healthcare or social care setting.
Sound knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding legislation.
Experience in mentorship.
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
A proactive, organised approach with the ability to work independently.
Enhanced DBS check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 28,000.00-33,000.00 per year
