An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a full time GP to join the primary care team based on St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly.Our thriving practice comprises of three salaried GPs, highly skilled nursing staff, and a friendly and welcoming reception team. We are based in purpose-built premises overlooking the sea, and provide high quality care to the residents and visitors on these beautiful islands which make up the Scilly archipelago.Working closely with colleagues from other health and social care services, we provide care for our patients both in and out of hours as well as for the inpatients in the community hospital. Regular clinics are carried out on the 4 inhabited 'off islands' which are reached by a purpose-built medical launch.We are a satellite practice of Helston Medical Centre and hold an APMS contract together with optometry and pharmacy contracts. SystemOne is the clinical system used. The practice was rated as outstanding at the last CQC inspection.The ideal candidate will be resilient, flexible, and keen to embrace a 'traditional' and vocational style of general practice - where serving a small community provides the opportunity for the GP to really understand and meet each patient's needs.Urgent care / out of hours experience is desirable.
