Job Title: Technical Sales Advisor

Job Type: Full Time/Permanent

Salary: 26,782

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Sales Administrator to join our team, based in our Birmingham Office, at the leading & largest trade-only Security Distributor in the UK & Ireland.

This role is a permanent Monday-Friday position with working hours between 8am - 5pm (40-hour week).

Experience and knowledge of being in a Technical Sales advisory role within the Locks & Ironmongery sector would be an advantage but are by no means essential as full training will be given.

Key responsibilities are:

Answering telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner

Assisting and advising customers with solutions to technical queries

Facilitating sales transactions by advising customers on suitable products that best meet their needs and encouraging purchases

Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of technical products to provide suitable recommendations to customers as needed.

Processing orders accurately and keeping customers up to date with the progress of their order

Maximising all potential sales opportunities, generating sales revenue and gross profit as per agreed targets and time scales

Utilising the CRM system as a tool to work out daily priorities, log and track all contacts, companies & customer orders at every stage of the sales process with prospects and clients.

Building, growing and maintaining both product and industry awareness

You will also be expected to demonstrate excellent customer service skills as well as perform your duties in a polite and professional manner at all times. You must be customer-focused and computer literate.
