The Sales Administrator plays a key role in supporting the sales team, ensuring smooth and efficient processing of customer orders, inquiries, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while delivering high levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing:
Accurately input and process customer orders, ensuring timely dispatch and invoicing.
Customer Support:
Handle customer inquiries via phone and email, providing product information and resolving queries efficiently.
Sales Coordination:
Work closely with the Sales Team to manage sales leads, quotations, and follow-ups.
Data Management:
Maintain and update customer records and sales data in the CRM system.
Liaison with Other Departments:
Coordinate with production, logistics, and accounts to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare order confirmations, quotes and other sales-related documentation.
After-Sales Support:
Assist with handling customer feedback, returns, etc
General Administration:
Support the wider sales team with administrative duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
GCSEs/A-Levels or equivalent; a business administration qualification is desirable.
Experience:
Previous experience in sales administration or customer service within a manufacturing or engineering environment is beneficial.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with customers and colleagues.
Organisational Skills:
Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-Solving:
Proactive approach to resolving customer and order-related issues.
