Sales and Events Co-Ordinator



We are currently looking to recruit a

Sales and Events Co-Ordinator

who will

support the Sales Manager, Sales & Events teams and Cr teams across 3 hotels

with a primary focus on bringing in new business and co-ordinating existing

business. This includes the administration for all functions, events and hosting

these events.

The Place:



Seafront Hotels (Cumberland, Suncliff and Ocean Beach Hotel and Spa ) Oceana Hotels & Restaurants Bournemouth

Hours - 45 hours worked with 30 min unpaid break per day (

42.5 hours per week paid), 5 days a week including a Saturday and some early evening work (Full Time )

Close working relationship:

Sales Manager, Sales & Events Team, Groups Department, Revenue Manager, Hotel Receptions, Duty Managers & Accounts

The Person/ Requirements



The successful

Sales and Events Co-Ordinator

will have:

Excellent communications skills, fluent spoken English and pleasant phone manner

Have the ability to establish rapport and deliver high standards of service with a genuine and approachable manner is essential.
Previous experience in Sales and Events Co-ordinator or an equivalent experience would be ideal.

Fantastic negotiation and persuasion skills
Working knowledge of Guestline is a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Be able to analyse local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads Represent the company at networking events, all hosting within the hotels High standard of personal presentation, positive, friendly and confident
Problem-solving, handling complaints and ability to work under pressure

High School diploma; additional certification is a plus

Hands on experience with office machines and computers

Knowledge of customer service

Legal right to work in the UK

Duties & Responsibilities:



To ensure good communication at all times with Sales, Cr and Oceana Team, via telephone, emails and direct contact with the staff and guests

Good organisational and administration skills

Positive attitude and good communication skills be guest aware at all times.

To host events, welcome guests to functions, co-ordinate their functions

Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service

Seek proactive opportunities to increase sales and conversions within the Team

Focus on a consistently executed up-selling approach

Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs

Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds for events, setting the scene prior to the meeting

Ensure the complete administration and execution of all planned events

Handle all customer enquiries with a professional telephone manner and demonstrate high standards of customer service, convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales

Producing weekly and monthly functions forecasts for all hotels.

Assist with the marketing and promotion of the events via social media and direct marketing

Assist Central Reservations with daily tasks and administration when required

Maximize rooms, groups, conference and events revenue through pro-active selling and commercial management techniques

Develop future and repeat business, contributing to the profitability of the Hotel

To display a friendly and helpful disposition and to maintain a high standard of

personal presentation and hygiene at all times. Smart appearance at all times

To ensure on all occasions you observe safe and hygienic working practices in order to satisfy Health and Safety at Work and other statutory legislation.

To be aware of and strictly adhere to Fire procedure precautions, Health & Safety and bomb threat procedures as laid down by the hotel and company in order to satisfy statutory legislation.

To attend training when required
