We are currently recruiting for a sales and events manager to work at our beautiful located hotel. Due to our picturesque location we are extremely popular for weddings and other events throughout the year. The role involves managing all enquiries coming into the venue relating to weddings and events, you will be required to liaise with customers over the phone, email and face to face, ensuring you fully understand all their requirements and offering them the best package available. The role involves developing existing accounts, to take repeat bookings and strengthen relationships with the venue. In addition the role includes some administration, preparing contracts and keeping all departments involved in the running of events up to date and informed with function sheets and meetings as necessary. You will also be required to act as a direct support to our Reception team where the need arises.
Ideally you will,
Have a proven track record within a sales & events environment
Possess a strong knowledge of the local market
Be a good researcher, negotiator, and possess a client focussed approach
Have an excellent telephone manner
Thrive under pressure and deliver measurable sales targets
Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills in order to prioritise various job demands
This position will include evenings & weekends as part of your working week.
