Background

Firebird is a profitable, fast growing craft brewery based in a refurbished brickworks in Rudgwick, near Horsham, West Sussex. Founded and still run by two Master Brewers, it brews and sells a wide range of beers of all styles, and has built a strong following locally, with both consumers and trade customers alike. Continued growth has necessitated substantial investment in new production capacity as well as extended space for its very popular brewery bar, a project which is now underway. To support continued growth into the future the company has identified a need for a persuasive, creative and energetic Sales and Marketing Executive to join our small team.

The Job

The role involves developing and maintaining constructive and profitable relationships with local customers. The ideal candidate would also be able to seek creative ways to expand Firebird's profile, working with council bodies, sports organisations, charities and customers as opportunities arise. As well as this, the role requires the monitoring of key customer sales performance, taking action to either build on opportunities or reverse any sales declines.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone who is diligent and tenacious, organised, sociable and outgoing, creative and self-motivated with an interest in independent beer and a full driving license.

Previous sales or commercial experience, whilst potentially helpful, is not essential, and not as important as the qualities and character required to engage, persuade and build constructive relationships with our customers and partners.

Salary is negotiable, depending on experience, within the range 26 to 30k , plus either a mileage allowance or a company car, to be agreed with the company. Benefits include Company pension contribution, 25 days paid holiday per year, plus statutory holidays, and a generous beer allowance and discounted wines and spirits from our shop.
