About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and multi-skilled Freelance Sales & Operations Business Manager who can combine strong sales capability with hands-on operational delivery. This is an active role involving business development, client management, weekend operational responsibility, and leading classes directly as an instructor.
You will serve as both the face of the organisation in generating new business and a key part of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Identify, approach, and convert new clients to grow the business.
Conduct outbound calls, emails, and in-person visits where required.
Present and explain services confidently to schools, parents, organisations, or partners.
Drive and manage the full sales pipeline from lead generation to closing.
Build long-term relationships to encourage repeat use of services (without commission on renewals).
Attend relevant events, community spaces, or promotional opportunities to increase visibility.
Provide accurate reporting on leads, performance, and sales activity.
Operations, Delivery & Business Management
Manage scheduling, bookings, and operational coordination for classes or services.
Be the on-site operational lead during assigned sessions -- including weekends.
Oversee setup, delivery quality, attendance management, and customer communications.
Ensure compliance with safety, safeguarding, and organisational standards.
Maintain up-to-date client records and operational documentation.
Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics and service delivery.
Collect session feedback and identify improvements.
Instructor Responsibilities (Essential)
Lead a class personally as the primary instructor, delivering engaging, well-organised sessions.
Create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
Manage behaviour, engagement, and participation appropriately.
Follow structured lesson plans while adapting delivery to the needs of the group.
Represent the organisation professionally to parents, students, or participants.
Person Specification
Strong experience in sales, business development, or outreach work.
Confident, engaging communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Organised, reliable, and comfortable working to a set weekly schedule.
Ability to deliver classes, workshops, or group sessions confidently (training may be provided).
Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership.
Comfortable managing operational tasks and leading sessions independently.
Ability to work weekends -- mandatory requirement.
Based near Worcester with access to transport (if travel is required).
