This is a key position within the business, responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting the continued growth of our company. The successful candidate will have strong industry knowledge, particularly within tarmac, surfacing, or civil engineering, and will be confident managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to securing contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the commercial, industrial, and local authority sectors.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
Prepare and deliver professional sales quotations.
Work closely with the estimating and operations teams to ensure accurate project pricing and delivery.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform business strategy.
Attend client meetings as required.
Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and growth objectives.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in sales or business development within tarmac, surfacing, or civil engineering industries (essential).
Strong understanding of surfacing techniques, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a confident, professional manner.
Ability to work independently and proactively manage your own sales pipeline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
