We are looking for a part-time

Sales & Design Consultant

for our brand new, 3000 square foot showroom on the 1st floor of Cookes Furniture on the borders of Sutton Coldfield.

- Are you you an experienced sales person (ideally from furnishing, bathrooms, kitchens etc) ?

- Do you have a background in interior design / or another relevant creative industry?

- Are you looking for part-time work (a minimum of 2 days, sometimes 3 days a week)?

Today we are looking for a part-time sales consultant, but depending on your performance (and your interest) full-time opportunities may be possible in the future.

You

must

have Saturday / Sunday availability (you will be needed other days, but these are the most important selling days).

Job description

Engage with customers: understand their needs, build credible relationships, provide interior design / styling solutions. And sell! Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction Stay updated with the latest interior design trends and BoConcept product knowledge Make appointments for customers for the Interior Design Service Pro-actively follow up customers on enquiries, sales orders and deliveries to ensure a high level of sales & after sales service

Job requirements

You are 'plug and play'! You have the know-how to sell high value home furnishings and have a real drive to succeed. You really like Scandi design and (ideally) have a diploma or bachelor degree in interior design or related art , textile or design subjects. Ideally, you've sales experience in furniture, kitchens, bathrooms etc. You have a positive attitude with an outgoing & confident personality You have excellent communication skills (verbal & written English) and a good capability with MS Office. You're happy with weekend working (primarily at our main Cookes showroom and occasional working at our Edgbaston showroom will be needed) Ideally you live an easily commutable distance from Cookes Furniture (Sutton Coldfield, Erdington etc...)
Unfortunately we cannot consider candidates with no working experience or candidates who are not currently living locally to the store in Birmingham.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 13.20 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 22.5 per week
