We are looking for Sales Development Representatives with 1+ years experience, to join the fastest growing Scottish AI startup, Wordsmith AI. This is to join as a Sales Development Representative

based in Edinburgh.

Wordsmith AI is the fastest-growing Scottish startup to reach a $100m valuation. Founded just 18 months ago, the company has already secured significant Series A funding led by Index Ventures and is trusted by global names such as Trustpilot, Deliveroo, Remote.com, Multiverse, and Docplanner.


Wordsmith is building the world's first Legal Enablement Platform -- an "air traffic control system" for in-house counsel and legal teams. The Role

The Commercial Associate program is a selective entry point into B2B SaaS sales and growth at the highest level. You'll gain rigorous training, steep responsibility, and a fast track into leadership.


As an Associate, you'll learn how to sell in an

AI-native world

-- combining classical sales excellence with the leverage of cutting-edge technology. You'll rotate across the key levers of modern go-to-market:

Outbounding

: Designing and executing targeted campaigns at senior executives.

Lead Nurturing

: Building relationships and trust with prospective clients.

Direct Sales Execution

: Supporting and owning elements of the enterprise sales cycle.
From this foundation, you will have clear pathways into roles as an

Account Executive, Growth Strategist, or even Legal Engineer

-- a new profession born out of the AI revolution.

What You'll Do

Execute high-impact outbound strategies to win enterprise-level opportunities. Nurture and develop prospects, guiding them through the pipeline. Take responsibility for parts of the sales process, building toward full deal ownership. Apply AI tools to prospect faster, sharpen messaging, and scale commercial impact. Collaborate with senior leadership on go-to-market strategy and execution. Deliver projects that directly influence Wordsmith's revenue and trajectory.

Requirements

Experience:

SDR / BDR / Inside Sales professionals

(1-2+ years) in

software, SaaS, AI, legaltech, or compliance industries

-- ideally with experience selling to institutions or knowledge workers (not retail).

Professional environments

in (consulting, finance, law, or similar) who are motivated to pivot into sales and growth.

Compensation: 30,000 + 15,000 bonus (45,000 OTE)
