As part of our ambitious growth journey, we are now seeking a dynamic
Sales Director
to lead our expansion in the Social Housing and Local Authority markets.
Your Mission
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will take ownership of our national sales strategy, spearheading growth across key public sector verticals. This is a senior leadership role that blends commercial strategy, team leadership, and partnership development in a high-impact, purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership:
Develop and implement a national sales strategy aligned with CEN's growth targets. Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.
Business Development:
Identify, secure, and develop new partnerships with housing associations, local authorities, and Tier 1 contractors. Drive long-term revenue through trusted relationships.
Proposal Development:
Work closely with bid, technical, and delivery teams to produce bespoke, high-impact client proposals.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Represent CEN at industry events and forums, enhancing visibility and influencing retrofit policy and innovation.
Client Relationship Management:
Support seamless project delivery through close collaboration with account management teams--ensuring repeat business and long-term success.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and policy changes. Provide accurate forecasting and performance reporting to senior leadership.
What You'll Bring
Proven success in senior sales leadership, preferably in social housing, construction, or renewable energy retrofit.
Deep understanding of retrofit funding streams (e.g. SHDF, Warm Homes, ORP).
Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
Track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering revenue growth.
Commercially savvy with experience in long-cycle B2B or public sector sales.
Passion for sustainability and a strong grasp of energy efficiency standards (highly desirable).
