Develop and manage sales within the assigned region (Northern England and Scotland).
Visit customers on-site, including quarries, recycling facilities, ports, and power stations.
Identify new business opportunities with OEMs, end users, and maintenance contractors.
Provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, pricing, and tender submissions.
Work closely with the internal sales and technical teams to ensure excellent customer service.
Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
Report on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events as required.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in an external sales or technical sales role (preferably in the bulk handling, mechanical, or industrial engineering sectors).
Good understanding of conveyor systems and related components (rollers, pulleys, idlers, belts, etc.) is highly advantageous.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to discuss mechanical products confidently with engineers and maintenance staff.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently within a defined territory.
Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Full UK driving license (essential).
