Sales Estimator - Key Responsibilities

Estimate & Quote Preparation:

Develop detailed, competitive, and persuasive estimates for a wide range of projects, including bespoke and complex enquiries.

Customer & Sales Collaboration:

Work together with both customers and the Production managers to refine project specifications, ensuring strategic pricing and enhanced profitability.

Opportunity Identification:

Utilise experience in subcontract manufacturing to pinpoint new market opportunities, customer segments, and products, actively pursuing these avenues.

Supplier Coordination:

Engage with suppliers to secure cost-effective quotations while keeping pricing data current.

Process & System Improvement:

Drive efficiency improvements by adopting new estimating tools, updating price lists, and performing regular supplier reviews.

Reporting & Presentation:

Produce comprehensive sales reports and update estimating database for materials labour and processes.

What We're Looking For

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; CAD experience is advantageous.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Significant experience in estimating within the construction, manufacturing, metalwork, or fabrication sectors.

Commercial acumen with a clear understanding of profit margins and cost analysis.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook (previous experience of working with hexagon/Radan software is advantageous)

A highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills.

Training and Development:

You will work closely with the Sales team and production manager, who will guide and train you in all aspects of Sheet Metal Estimation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,000.00-40,000.00 per year
