Job Description

The Role

As an estimator , you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for a wide range of metal fabrication projects. You'll work closely with our design, production, and project management teams to ensure that all estimates are commercially sound, technically accurate, and aligned with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for metal fabrication and installation projects. Review drawings, specifications, and client documents to identify scope and requirements. Source material and subcontractor quotations. Liaise with suppliers and clients to clarify technical details and pricing. Develop and maintain pricing databases, material lists, and labour rates. Support project handovers to ensure smooth transition from estimate to delivery. Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating processes and accuracy.

Requirements

? Proven experience as an Estimator within metal fabrication, structural steel, or architectural metalwork.
? Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and workshop practices.
? Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
? Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
? Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
? Good communication and IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and estimating software).
? Engineering or construction-related qualification (desirable but not essential).

Pay: 40,000.00-60,000.00 per year
