The Bierkeller has a significant opportunity in the market to expand and extend its corporate and group customer base. This role is to assist the Sales and Operations team in Bierkeller Birmingham. This site is diverse and can adapt to individual customer requirements with innovation and variety. The venue consists of 2 bars; The Bierkeller and Shooters Sports Bar. The role of the Sales and Events Coordinator is to work closely with the General Manager and Head of Sales to administrate sales leads, update function sheets ensuring excellent attention to detail, distribute outbound promotion material, communicate effectively with operations management and customers and occasionally help to host events and private functions when required.
Responsibilities and duties
Establish a network of clients that can be used for new and existing events and bookings.
Help to execute marketing plans that are put in place by the Sales & Events Manager.
Update social media pages with artwork and advertising daily, plus respond to customers accordingly.
Use LinkedIn to network, produce bookings promoting B2B relationships.
Update social media platforms with scheduled and unscheduled posts encouraging interactions and grow the page likes/followers.
Review local and national opportunities with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok. Report plans to grow the social media platforms by agreed amounts.
Encourage reviews from customers and increase our customer review rating on trip advisor, google.or other key selling platforms.
Commission and review video content as a key tool in social media opportunities.
Ensure all other digital platforms (website/ Google My Business..) are current and reviewed regularly.
Respond to all online reviews and feedback.
Report customer feedback to the site and senior management.
Completing function information/timeline sheets.
Attend a fortnightly Sales Meeting with relevant updates
Monitor the stock of all relevant marketing material and POS ensuring this is in date and displayed in the venue.
Host and attend major events and bookings as the first point of contact for clients and event organisers.
Build relationships with local businesses and sports clubs.
Build relationships with booking agents including third party restaurant bookings, stag/hen bookers and venue finding websites.
Perform market research to identify new opportunities and document strategies for pursuing these new opportunities.
Distribute promotional materials locally
