About the Role
This is a key role within our growing sales, customer service, and logistics team. You will play an essential part in providing outstanding customer service, supporting the Sales Executives, and ensuring smooth operations through efficient order processing and logistics coordination.
The role involves regular interaction with both trade and homeowner customers, both remotely and face-to-face at our Head Office Display Centre. During busy periods, you will assist on the Display Centre, greeting and advising customers, answering queries, and providing support to the Sales Executives to ensure every visitor has a positive experience.
This role will also occasionally involve assisting with picking and loading orders onto customer vehicles, which may require the use of a forklift. Full training and certification will be provided.
Your contribution will help maintain and grow strong customer relationships and support the overall success of our sales and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Support
Act as the first point of contact for all customer queries--via telephone, email, web chat, online enquiries, or in person.
Take ownership of each enquiry from first contact through to resolution.
Ensure all customer data is recorded accurately, and follow-up actions are completed promptly.
Manage workload efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Represent the company professionally and positively across all channels.
Liaise with internal departments, maintaining accountability for query resolution.
Provide excellent service to both trade and homeowner customers.
Support Sales Executives by following up on enquiries and keeping CRM records up to date.
Assist customers in the Display Centre with product advice, quotations, and general support.
Process customer orders, issue to the yard, and ensure accuracy in product details, pricing, and discounts.
Send order confirmations and delivery disclaimers.
Assist in gathering feedback and resolving complaints, escalating when required.
Offer general administrative assistance across the business as needed.
Support the marketing team with admin tasks, such as updating prices and website content.
Logistics & Administration
Liaise with internal teams and customers to arrange and confirm delivery schedules.
Book deliveries and manage pallet network collections.
Handle delivery issues including claims for losses or damages.
Communicate effectively across yard, production, and sales to maintain operational flow.
Occasionally assist with order picking and loading onto customer vehicles, using forklift equipment as needed (training provided).
Candidate Requirements
Experience in customer service, sales support, or logistics (ideally in a fast-paced setting).
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Clear and professional communication skills (verbal and written).
Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented.
Friendly, customer-focused approach.
Comfortable dealing with customers face-to-face during peak periods.
Computer literate with CRM and order processing experience (Odoo experience advantageous).
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Calm under pressure with a problem-solving mindset.
Driving license preferred due to location.
