The Turing Trust is a growing IT charity based in Edinburgh where we refurbish IT equipment, install a range of educational software and provide it to those who need it most. About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Executive. This role manages the entire sales lifecycle, from inventory to post-sale administration, working closely with the Sales Coordinator and other teams to ensure a profitable operation. You will conduct IT equipment sales via ITADs, eBay, in-person, and other online platforms, responsible for all associated administration. This role will also involve development of new sales channels, creating relationships with additional bulk buyers; exploring new online platforms and regularly liaising with them to ensure thorough understanding of their business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Optimization:
Collaborate with the Sales Coordinator on process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Make informed decisions on device disposition to minimize waste and maximize profit.
Prioritize sales avenues based on strategic benefit and identify opportunities for high-value items.
Explore and establish relationships with new sales outlets and buyers.
Develop new sales channels, including cultivating relationships with bulk buyers and new online platforms.
Liaise regularly with buyers to understand their needs.
Sales Operations & Inventory Management:
Organize and manage IT equipment inventory, including processing new stock and maintaining sales shelf structure.
Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain an organized sales area.
Manage device workflow for timely sales fulfillment.
Coordinate volunteers for processing devices.
Supervise refurbishment and testing of IT equipment for resale.
Identify and route potential assets for sale
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain and update sales worksheets and guides.
Manage Salesforce records, including adding customer information and updating asset data.
Proactively address data quality issues
Monitor and record invoice progress
Document decision-making rationale for sales.
Customer Relationship Management:
Negotiate the best prices and efficiently manage sales interactions.
Provide high-standard customer service and excellent relationship building
Point of Sale administration, process payments via terminal, links, or invoice.
Proactively communicate and chase for equipment values from all buyers (eBay, ITADs).
Generate reports, oversee packaging, and negotiate optimal values with bulk buyers.
Maintain relationships with existing purchasers and explore new buyer opportunities.

Post Information:
Remuneration:
12.60 per hour, ideally 35 hours/week (UK living wage).
Contract:
6-month probation, leading to an initial 1-year contract.
