Sales Ledger Controller
to take ownership of our sales ledger function and help support our next phase of growth.
About the Role
As our Sales Ledger Controller, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of the sales ledger, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional service to both customers and other departments within the company. You'll be responsible for all credit control activities, while contributing to process improvements within a dynamic finance department.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the Sales Ledger with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Daily reconciliations and analysis of bulk incoming payments for all sales which also includes chargebacks that will need to be reported.
Overseeing the credit account customer applications and creation on our system.
Monitor outstanding debts and proactively chase payments
Process and allocate incoming payments.
Build strong relationships with customers and resolve queries in a professional and timely manner
Prepare and distribute customer statements.
Support month-end processes including reconciliations and reporting
Work closely with the wider finance team to streamline processes and support business growth
About You
Previous experience in a sales ledger or accounts receivable role
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Confident communicator with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Able to work independently and as part of a busy, friendly team
Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving
