The Hereford operation is the major UK production facility in PCC Metals & Forgings Group and we now have an exciting/ challenging opportunity for a Sales Manager UK and Europe to join the Special Metals Wiggin (SMW) team.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead business development and account management efforts across the UK and Europe. This high-level role will focus on expanding market share for nickel products within the PCC Metals Group, including Special Metals, WASA, Cannon-Muskegon, Huntington and New Hartford. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic growth, managing key customer relationships and identifying new opportunities across multiple sectors.
The Role:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to identify nickel alloy needs and grow market share.
Target new business opportunities in Aerospace, Defence, Medical, Oil and Gas, Marine and other sectors.
Lead strategic sales initiatives and collaborate across PCC Metals facilities to align commercial efforts.
Demonstrate deep understanding of Special Metals product offerings including Cast stick, Ingot, Billet, Bar/Rod, Sheet and Plate.
Manage commercial negotiations and provide professional sales support across all levels of the industry.
Oversee Key Accounts across the UK and Europe, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and contractual compliance.
Monitor market trends and competitive positioning, providing regular updates and identifying growth opportunities.
Co-ordinate with internal teams (Operations, CST, Product Management), to optimise customer service and commercial returns.
Support regional operations including Logistics, Credit Control and Performance tracking.
Escalate and explain deviations from Sales Plans and Performance Targets.
Negotiate and Close complex deals and long-term agreements.
Draft and interpret Scientific, Commercial and Financial contracts.
Present product capabiltiies and supply chain solutions to customers.
Travel extensively across the region as required.
Utilise advanced IT skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) for reporting and presentations.
Education/ Qualifications and Experience Required:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
5-10 years in a Senior customer facing commercial role, preferably within the Metals or Super Alloy industry.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Super Alloy melting facility preferred.
