Due to our continued growth and success, DSL are looking for a new member for our sales department to provide day to day support in the commercial operation of the business. This role will encompass all aspects of Sales and some marketing activity and provides a genuine career path and scope for continued success if you work hard.
This role would suit someone who is naturally confident, eager to learn and ideally also has an interest in computing and/or electronics - but this is not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate to ensure you have every tool at your disposal to be successful.
In time you will be responsible for your own accounts which you will manage, grow and be responsible for.
Immediate duties and key responsibilities:
Generating Interest
o Assist with marketing and social media activities
o Researching and identifying opportunities for new and existing products and services
Account Management
o Be directly responsible for a small then increasing number of minor DSL customer accounts.
o Identify correct solutions and provide quotations to them as required.
o Build strong personal relationships with the decision maker
o Understand customer needs and requirements
o Educating clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs.
Sales Administration
o Managing and updating product price lists
o Creating opportunities, quotations and customer orders
o Any other admin/research tasks relevant to the success of the sales department
o Keep CRM system up to date with relevant customer communications
Future duties and key responsibilities:
Manage a wide selection of client accounts, operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts.
Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships within increasingly large client accounts
Negotiating large quotations and contracts
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound prospecting calls and emails
Research new accounts, identify key decision makers and generate interest
Travelling to visit potential and existing clients and exhibitions.
Offering pre and post-sale first line technical support
Produce and maintain a sales forecast
Maximise profitability through driving increased profit margins
Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts internally.
Solving client problems.
Maintain up to date knowledge of DSL's products and USPs
