We are looking for a Sales Order Processor who has strong sales skills, technical knowledge (preferably from the fenestration industry), and the ability to manage customer orders from start to finish. This role requires someone with great attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, and the ability to accurately process orders while handling customer queries and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Management:

Engage with customers, via phone, by email and occasionally in the showroom to understand their needs. Provide expert advice on roofing and glazing options. Collaborate with customers from initial inquiry to final order, ensuring excellent service throughout. Create accurate, competitive quotes and order confirmations based on survey sheets and specifications. Follow up on quotes to secure sales and close deals where required. Manage any post-sale queries, including modifications, delivery schedules, and issue resolution.

Order Processing & Technical Support:

Process daily orders using a variety of software (including UDesign and Virtual Shopfloor) - experience an advantage, but training can be given. Ensure orders are accurate, including sizes, materials, and design specifications. Read and interpret survey sheets and technical drawings to generate precise quotes and order confirmations. Work out measurements, areas, and angles to ensure correct product specifications. Maintain an understanding of product limitations and industry standards. Communicate effectively with suppliers and manufacturers to confirm orders and resolve any issues.

Desirable Skills & Experience Required:

Experience in sales and order processing, ideally in the fenestration or construction industry. Strong technical knowledge of roofing and related components. Good mathematical skills, including working out areas, angles, and measurements. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload efficiently. Excellent communication and customer service skills to build and maintain relationships. A positive mindset - displaying enthusiasm and tenacity. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail. An organised and orderly mindset.
