About The Role:




We are looking for a driven and experienced Sales and Purchase Ledger Accountant to join our growing team.


In this critical role, you will work closely alongside our Management Accountant and be responsible for a range of financial and administrative tasks.


You'll be handling the day-to-day financial functions of the business including accounts payable and accounts receivable.


This fully remote role sits within a friendly, growing department, and the hours of work are 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday., with flexible start and finish times.


Key Responsibilities:



Sales Ledger



Preparing and raising sales invoices for NHS income from in-house generated data and issuing them along with the required backing documentation. Uploading invoices onto the required platforms when appropriate. Resolving any customer invoice queries raised and ensuring there are no approval barriers to ensure prompt payment Following up on aged invoices Reconciling payments received to outstanding invoices and maintaining an up-to-date ledger. Assisting in identifying and resolving any data errors or inaccuracies.

Purchase Ledger



Preparing and issuing bimonthly subcontractor bills using in-house data sources based upon their activities. Receiving and logging approved supplier invoices within Xero Investigating and resolving subcontractor payment queries Querying supplier invoices and reconciling discrepancies when necessary. Reconciling payments made to suppliers and maintaining an up-to-date ledger

What we're looking for:



You'll need to be highly proficient with Xero, Microsoft 365 (SharePoint and web-based MS Office), Teams and Slack. You'll be Confident with using web-based software and be a self-starter in terms of learning the new software tools which the company is implementing and developing in house.

You'll have flexibility to adapt to the evolving processes and systems as the company grows You'll need a keen eye with meticulous attention to detail You'll have the skills and ability to manage your own workload and adhere to time sensitive deadlines You'll be comfortable and familiar with communication with colleagues and Team members using electronic means of communication - Video conferencing, Slack & Email You'll be proactive in following up with loose ends with respect to sales ledger balances and transactions which do not reconcile or agree with customers balances and statements. A Problem solving attitude - you'll be problem solving on daily basis, identifying and analysing issues to implement solutions You'll have a collaborative attitude enabling you to collaborate with teams and have effective communication both internally and externally
