Questar is a provider of Telematics and other driver performance & operational improvement tools to many clients including central government, councils, police forces, fire services and NHS organisations. We also supply services to many commercial organisations such as vehicle manufacturers, insurance providers, leasing & rental companies, utilities, passenger transport providers, vehicle importers and fleet owners.
Purpose of the job
We are looking for a Sales Representative who thrives on winning new business. This role is focused on prospecting, cold approaches, and closing new customers. The ideal candidate is highly driven, competitive, resilient, and motivated by targets and commission.
Key Accountabilities
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, social media selling, and networking.
Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation through close
Research target accounts and decision-makers to tailor sales approaches
Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations for prospective clients
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and close deals independently
Consistently meet or exceed new customer acquisition targets
Maintain accurate records of activities and opportunities in EDC's CRM
Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to refine outreach strategies
Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and customer needs
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications Required
Proven experience in new business sales and B2B
Strong cold calling and outbound prospecting skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion abilities
High level of self-motivation, resilience, and competitive drive
Ability to handle rejection and maintain momentum
Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot)
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in sales preferably technical to public sector/industry
Track record of consistently exceeding sales targets
Familiarity with structured sales methods
