We're looking for a Sales Administrator to join our team in Kings Hill, West Malling (This is a 12- month fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics & Import/Export Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth movement of goods through the supply chain by coordinating shipping activities, managing import/export documentation, liaising with regulatory bodies, and supporting internal teams with logistics and sales-related processes.
Responsibilities include:
Monitor and track containers and shipping vessels; update internal systems with port arrival details.
Review and verify import/export documentation to ensure compliance with UK and EU regulations.
Liaise with customs agents, DEFRA, and other relevant authorities to facilitate smooth clearance of imports.
Maintain a strong understanding of documentary and regulatory requirements for UK & EU trade.
Handle communication with shipping lines regarding claims and logistical updates (advantageous).
Process invoices and reference relevant shipment and documentation details.
Communicate with suppliers to resolve documentation discrepancies or import-related issues.
Provide additional administrative and sales support as needed.
Requirements
Experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export operations.
Understanding of UK and EU import/export regulations and documentation.
Strong communication and coordination skills, especially with external stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Working experience of Prophet system
Desirable
Experience dealing with customs authorities and regulatory agencies is highly desirable.
Background in international trade, supply chain management, or a related field.
Experience working with DEFRA and customs clearance procedures.
Familiarity with shipping line communications and claims is a plus.
Microsoft D365 would be advantageous
