Purpose of the Role
To support the Senior Business Development Manager (and wider Direct Finance Team) in progressing customer finance applications efficiently and professionally, while also generating new business opportunities through proactive customer contact and relationship building.
The role blends precision in deal management with a commercial mindset, contributing directly to business growth and client satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities
Sales Support & Administration
Qualify new inbound enquiries and assist with preparing lender-ready finance applications.
Gather, review, and organise financial information including bank statements, management accounts, and supporting documents.
Liaise with customers to explain the process, documentation requirements, and next steps clearly and confidently.
Manage and update the quotation and opportunity pipeline, maintaining regular contact with customers to confirm whether applications remain active, need updates, or can be closed off.
Prepare and send credit assessments or lender feedback to customers where appropriate, helping them understand available finance options.
Track deals through to completion, ensuring all lender and solicitor conditions are met and drawdowns happen smoothly.
Maintain accurate CRM and deal tracking records for full visibility and compliance.
Support the Senior BDM in preparing proposals, presentation packs, and customer correspondence.
Customer Relationship Management
Build rapport with customers through regular follow-ups and service calls.
Provide updates on live deals, ensuring all stakeholders remain informed and confident in the process.
Assist with End of Lease arrangements, repeat business, and referral opportunities.
Gather testimonials and case study material for marketing use.
Sales Generation & Business Development (Approx. 25%+ of Role)
Conduct outbound calls to existing and previous customers to identify upcoming finance needs, End of Lease opportunities, or cross-sell potential.
Generate and qualify new opportunities for the Senior BDM (shared commission).
Support marketing initiatives such as email follow-ups, database reactivation campaigns, and client surveys.
Over time, progress toward managing simple transactions independently and developing your own customer portfolio.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Minimum 25% of time dedicated to outbound calling and lead generation activity.
Number of new qualified leads passed to the Senior BDM.
Application-to-approval and approval-to-drawdown conversion rates.
Timeliness and accuracy of submissions and documentation.
Customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Effectiveness in maintaining an active and up-to-date opportunity pipeline.
