Role Overview



Lewa Studios is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and business-minded

Salon Manager

to oversee day-to-day operations and help drive the salon and online store forward.

This role is critical to ensuring the business runs

efficiently, professionally, and profitably

. The ideal candidate will come in, put strong systems in place, manage staff and operations confidently, and support the overall growth and upgrading of the business.

Hair or beauty experience is

not required

, but strong

business and management experience is essential

. Experience in the beauty or retail industry is an advantage.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Business Management



Ensure smooth daily running of the salon and online store Implement and maintain efficient systems and processes Act as the main point of contact for staff and day-to-day operational issues Support business growth, structure, and service upgrades Identify inefficiencies and proactively improve workflows

Staff Management



Manage staff rotas, attendance, and performance Ensure staff follow salon standards, procedures, and service expectations Support onboarding, training coordination, and ongoing staff development Handle staff issues professionally and escalate where necessary

Payroll & Administration



Manage payroll documentation and hours tracking Liaise with accountants/bookkeepers where required Maintain accurate records for staff, payroll, and operations Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures

Stock & Cash Handling



Oversee stock levels, ordering, and inventory control Ensure stock is tracked, stored correctly, and not misused Manage cash handling, daily takings, and end-of-day checks Report discrepancies promptly and accurately

Online Store & Order Fulfilment



Manage the online store operations Ensure orders are processed, fulfilled, and dispatched on time Coordinate with the team to ensure timely delivery of goods Monitor order accuracy, customer satisfaction, and turnaround times Act as point of contact for online order issues

Customer Experience & Service Standards



Ensure a high standard of customer service at all times Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations professionally Maintain a welcoming, organised, and professional salon environment Support service upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Skills & Requirements



Strong business and operations management experience Excellent organisational and leadership skills Confident handling staff, processes, and responsibility Experience with payroll documentation and admin processes Strong communication and problem-solving skills Comfortable managing stock, cash handling, and reporting Ability to work independently and take initiative Tech-savvy (booking systems, online stores, spreadsheets, emails)

Desirable (Not Essential)



Experience in the beauty, salon, or retail industry Hair or beauty knowledge Experience managing an online store or e-commerce operations
