SGS is seeking a reliable and proactive Inspection Support Operative to assist our busy Inspection department. The role involves basic inspection support tasks including sample collection/delivery, site visits, equipment handling, and documentation transport.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect samples from vessels, shore tanks, and retail forecourts in line with client and industry standards
Transport samples and documentation to/from vessels and labs
Maintain inspection stock and sampling equipment
Support compliance with safety, health, and COSHH standards
Work closely with the operations and laboratory teams to meet tight client deadlines
Qualifications
No prior experience is required for this role -- full training will be provided.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and flexible candidate who is ready to take on a hands-on role. If you're someone who doesn't mind getting your hands dirty and is eager to learn, we'd love to hear from you!
Comfortable with outdoor, hands-on work
Flexible and able to work independently to strict timelines
Full UK driving license
Strong communication, literacy, and basic IT skills
Desirable:
Knowledge of COSHH and oil/chemical sampling
Experience in an industrial or oil & chemicals environment
