We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Blaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical processes and safety procedures, with experience in fabrication, assembly, and the use of power tools. This role involves handling blasting operations in a manufacturing or construction environment, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience or construction painting background to develop their skills further within a dynamic organisation.
Responsibilities
Prepare work areas by setting up equipment and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Operate blasting equipment in accordance with safety standards and project specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assist with fabrication and assembly tasks
Measure and mark materials accurately using basic maths skills for precise application of blasting techniques
Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within quality standards
Follow health and safety regulations at all times, including the proper handling of hazardous materials
Qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse operations, construction painting, or fabrication environments is desirable
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to blasting procedures
Experience in assembly work or working with construction materials is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Knowledge of safety procedures related to blasting, welding, and industrial environments is essential
Previous experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing or construction setting is preferred
