At the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, a group of passionate and determined people work to design, develop, manufacture and race the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and race winner George Russell.

The Team has set a new benchmark for Formula One success during the sport\'s current Hybrid era, winning consecutive Drivers\' and Constructors\' World Championships in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, and the Constructors\' Championship in 2021.

Our ERP Team within the IT Department are looking for an SAP Developer who has the passion and determination to deliver new or improved features to a broad cross-section of business domains and users.

Working collaboratively with Functional Consultants and Architects, you will help to develop the SAP platform and its integration within our systems landscape. You will thrive on working in a fast paced and high frequency changing environment, in a role where you get to deliver innovative ERP solutions.

The Role:

• Deliver innovative UI solutions to our business users following SAP Fiori guidelines and UI5 development principles.
• Deliver core ABAP functionalities (GUI, OOPS, OData/REST/SOAP interfaces).
• Help transition away from SAP GUI-based solutions.
• Demonstrate UI5 applications to colleagues and users during the development phase to elicit feedback and evolve the solution using an agile approach.
• Help expand our REST APIs to improve system integration with internal and external systems.
• Participate in complete design, process and code reviews and documentation of solutions.
• Responsible for coordination/assistance to regression and UAT testing, cut-over activities.
• Contribute to projects activities and BAU changes coming from the ERP Support team.

Technical Skills and Experience:

• Strong knowledge of SAP Fiori and UI5 Front-End Development.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP OOPS concepts.

• Good experience in handling complex ABAP objects including RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, Enhancements, Forms) objects.
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of ODATA service generation with ABAP as the base skill.
• Strong knowledge of building CDS views, AMDP and other code push down techniques.
• Working knowledge of the VDM (virtual data model) as the basis for data access in SAP S/4HANA.
• Should have good working knowledge of MVC concepts and various design patterns.
• Experience with Fiori Authorisations and FLP.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with modern version control systems like Git.
• Experience with SAP Business Application Studio.
• Experience in Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) projects.
• Experience in Rest Application Programming Model (RAP) projects.
• Experience enhancing standard Fiori apps.
• React, NodeJS, DevOps, Azure Cloud, SOAP.
• Experience with SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud).
• Experience with Adobe Form and Smart Forms.
