Role Purpose The Satellite Services Integration Engineer is an exciting new role within the organisation to support its growing strategic focus on integration of 3rd party capacity into our multi orbit, hybrid network. As the technical integration interface between Avanti internal functions and 3rd party suppliers, the role requires deep technical understanding of telecommunications systems architectures, including satellite communications systems, and their systems interfaces for integration between discrete networks to support Avanti identification and evaluation of 3rdparty services for both strategic and ad hoc requirements. In addition to supporting identification and evaluation activities, the role requires strong stakeholder and programme management skills to support programmatic delivery for the integration of 3rd party services into the Avanti technology and service stack. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Undertake analysis of 3rd party satellite services, including within the RF (link budgeting), Internetworking, and service domains
  • Understand the landscape of today\xe2\x80\x99s satcom market space and monitor the changing competitive environment and trends.
  • Maintain 3rd party capacity database.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales Directors to maintain 3rd party capacity pipeline.
  • Support SVP Strategic Partnerships role in the evaluation and execution from idea generation, sourcing and negotiating of 3rd party capacity partnerships.
  • Build, develop and maintain strong working cross-functional relationships with 3rd party capacity partners in support of efficient and effective operations.
  • Support and coordinate projects across multiple teams within Avanti for integration and delivery of 3rd party capacity.
  • Contribute to new business acquisition through supporting the creation and implementation of internal business rules, process and procedures for successful incorporation of 3rd party capacity into Avanti customer proposals and service agreements.
Skills & Qualifications Essential
  • Extensive experience in technical consultative roles in a satcoms context (sales engineering, technical consultant etc) roles involving solutions sourcing, development, evaluation and integration.
  • Ability to run link budget analysis and to intuitively grasp the relative performance metrics for satellite capacity for rapid evaluation.
  • Experience with full telecommunications internetworking and systems stack, including 3GPP, and how this is used for integration between telecommunicator operators\xe2\x80\x99 networks.
  • Ability to effectively present solutions to a wide range of audiences, from operational to executive levels.
  • Ability to engage and effectively manage stakeholder groups both internally and externally.
  • Ability to prioritise workload of both self and work in conjunction with project team leads to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience in common desktop productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, along with strong MS Visio skills.
  • Ability to travel world-wide.

  • Deep knowledge of Satellite communications industry
  • Understanding and experience of services delivery frameworks and experience
  • Understanding and experience of product development methodologies
  • High-level understanding of satcoms regulatory framework
