Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Weekend Cafe Chef with the option to also provide holiday cover to the weekday team.

This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. Our cafe provides simple breakfasts and lunches alongside our in house bakery.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the planning and execution of meal preparation for Saturday service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Provide support in serving meals when required, ensuring an excellent dining experience for customers.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or cafe environment is highly essential. Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices is essential. Experience in serving customers or working directly with the public is an advantage. Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
