Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our chip shop team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers in a fast-paced environment and is happy to be part of a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
Support with preparation tasks before and during service
Take customer orders both over the counter and by phone in a friendly and professional manner
Prepare, pack, and serve food orders efficiently and accurately
Monitor stock levels and rotate stock as needed during shifts
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, including regular cleaning duties
Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient service, especially during busy periods
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Confident and polite when dealing with customers
Reliable, punctual, and able to work Saturday evenings
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Able to work well in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or retail
