Saturday Shop Assistant


The Chocolate Factory Shop, Fakenham

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at The Chocolate Factory Shop.

Position: Part-Time, Temporary (Fixed Term Contract Until May 2026)
Hours: 7.5
Shift Pattern: Saturday - 08:00 - 16:00
Pay: 12.21
Breaks: 30 minutes
Responsibilities:
Receive, unpack, and organise stock efficiently. Arrange, label, and display goods to maintain an attractive and well-organised shop floor. Operate the till, handle cash and card transactions accurately, using up to date technology including barcode scanners. Assist in the design and creation of seasonal displays to highlight key products. Adhere to food safety rules and procedures at all times. Maintain in-depth product knowledge to assist customers effectively and answer queries confidently. Foster a friendly environment where all customers feel valued, while anticipating needs and exceeding expectations through positive communication. Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised store by working collaboratively to uphold high standards throughout. Ensure compliance with all statutory and mandatory Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements. Safely lift and handle heavy stock/boxes both manually and while operating an electric pump truck. Responsibly and accurately deal with any official documents and paperwork.

Qualifications:

Essential:

Maths and English GCSE's or equivalent, Customer service skills Technology skills Ability to communicate both verbally and in a written form internally and externally in polite and professional manner. Working with a team Experience of working in a target led environment Good organising and planning skills

Desirable:

Food safety trained
