We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing and dismantling scaffolding structures to support construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople on-site. The ideal candidate will possess a variety of skills, including the ability to work with power tools and hand tools, as well as experience in fabrication and masonry.
Duties
Construct, erect, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety standards.
Ensure all scaffolding is plumb, level, and secure before use.
Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters and electricians to facilitate smooth operations on-site.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during scaffold assembly.
Fabricate scaffold components as needed, ensuring quality workmanship throughout the process.
Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding for safety compliance and maintenance needs.
Assist in painting and finishing tasks as required during the project lifecycle.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in scaffold building or a related construction field is preferred.
Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of working with roofing materials and techniques.
Experience using power tools, hand tools, and masonry skills is highly desirable.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings related to scaffold design.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety practices at all times.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Willingness to undertake physical tasks associated with scaffold building, including lifting heavy materials.
