Salary:

Circa 45-60k - Negotiable - Depending on experience

Location:

South

Holidays:

25 days holiday plus bank holiday

Sales Commission with OTE of 80K+

Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the construction and building sectors, with experience in various trades such as solar, painting, roofing, and masonry. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and developing strategies to enhance our service offerings.

Experience in the scaffolding sector, strong technical skills with scaffolding products will be a distinct advantage.

Main Responsibilities to include:



Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction industry. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth objectives. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for expansion. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of services with client needs. Prepare proposals, presentations, and reports for potential clients. Project work outs for scaffolds, system scaffolds, stair towers & temporary roofs from site measurements or design drawings to generate parts lists and quotations both manually and using software where available. Planning and implementing a marketing strategy including social media platforms using a structured and consistent brand identity. Leading the brand and being an ambassador for the company and its identity to create a mix of operational and product-based marketing content. Attend industry events and networking functions to promote the company's services. Monitor competitor activities and market developments to inform strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate:



Demonstrable experience in

scaffolding and access

, with strong technical and commercial knowledge Proven ability to sell consistently in the construction industry A network of existing and potential clients Strong client relationship skills and ability to engage at all levels Commercially astute, with an analytical mindset and results-driven approach Confident in developing pricing and marketing strategies Comfortable presenting at meetings and events, both internally and externally Proficient with project estimation based on technical drawings or site evaluations
