We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a professional with a good understanding of vehicle operation, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to our operations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, lorries, or specialised transport, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and pickups Load and unload goods using appropriate hand tools and equipment, ensuring items are secured properly for transit Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption Assist with minor repairs or adjustments using basic hand tools when necessary Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules or delivery updates Follow health and safety protocols at all times during transportation duties

Qualifications

Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., Category B or C) Proven experience in driving commercial or company vehicles safely Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic repair skills is desirable Experience with carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, fabrication or use of power tools is advantageous but not essential Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes and manage time effectively Good communication skills and a professional attitude Physical fitness to load/unload goods and perform vehicle inspections as required
