School Administration Officer

Humly North East is looking for a school administrator to work in one of lovely primary school's in NE4. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and dedicated team within a thriving and supportive educational environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school's administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities



Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff in the school office Manage telephone and email communications efficiently and professionally Maintain accurate student records and update school databases (e.g., SIMS) Support attendance monitoring and reporting Assist with admissions, pupil data, and school census submissions Handle incoming and outgoing mail, ordering supplies, and other administrative tasks Provide general clerical support to the Headteacher and senior leadership team

What We're Looking For



Previous administrative experience, ideally in an educational setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to priorities workload and work efficiently under pressure Discretion, confidentiality, and attention to detail Knowledge of SIMS or other school systems is desirable (training can be provided)

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 13.68-15.60 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 40 per week
