The post holder will work alongside the Behaviour and Attendance teams, as well as relevant Pastoral Staff, to offer an effective administrative support service to each department, which includes duties covering all aspects of school life. Duties will include but are not limited to the below:
BEHAVIOUR AMINISTRATOR
Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Behaviour Team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Draft and issue suspension letters in accordance with school policies and procedures.
Accurately update and maintain the suspension spreadsheet, ensuring all entries reflect current status.
Monitor suspension data for trends and report anomalies or concerns to senior staff.
Contact parents/carers to arrange post-suspension reintegration meetings.
Confirm meeting details and ensure all relevant staff are informed and prepared. Follow up on missed appointments and reschedule as needed.
Ensure behaviour-related incidents and actions are logged appropriately in the school's management system.
Assist in preparing reports for senior leadership and external agencies when required.
Schedule and coordinate behaviour-related meetings, including exclusions panels and pastoral reviews.
Prepare agendas, take minutes, and distribute follow-up actions.
Respond to queries from staff, students, and parents regarding behaviour procedures.
Liaise with other departments to ensure consistency and clarity in behaviour management processes.
ATTENDANCE ADMINISTRATOR
T
o assist the Attendance team with all aspects of attendance administration, as directed by the Attendance Manager.
To support with maintaining and updating attendance data using agreed systems.
To assist with the identification of students who will receive support in improving their attendance record.
Support the Assistant Head of Year and Attendance team with the daily check on children at risk of truanting and initiate and carry out periodical post-registration truancy checks.
Support with staffing of the student support desk in order to register latecomers and assist students in need of additional support eg issuing of lift passes, informing pastoral staff of individual needs where appropriate.
Print attendance registration certificates as required.
Maintain and support with keeping student data up to date, particularly with relation to contact details.
GENERAL
Support with ad hoc tasks for each department, including printing, filing, and resource preparation.
Assist with the implementation of the Incentive Schemes for attendance and behaviour and to participate in the development of school reward systems.
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection. Reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.
Contribute to the overall ethos/priorities/aims of the school.
