SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR
8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday
The governors wish to appoint an administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to carry out tasks listed below in an efficient and effective manner.
S/he will be a good communicator who is able to engage both teaching staff and governors. S/he will take initiatives and be able to prioritise and also enjoy working as a member of a team.
Administrator Key Duties:
General Reception Duties - deal with Office enquiries from visitors / parents / pupils
Be responsible for maintaining and updating the school website, including the upkeep of the school diary
Type/check reports / newsletters / letters / leaflets / policies - add to website where necessary
Photocopying / filing as required
Take telephone calls and deal with simpler issues or refer to appropriate person
Order and receive equipment as requested by staff
Administer the school milk and fruit schemes along with Bikeability and the flu vaccinations.
Liaise with Deputy head regarding sports fixtures and after school clubs and correspond with parents.
Enter and update pupil contact details and maintain accurate attendance records on Bromcom and provide reports as necessary including class lists and registers.
Act as school attendance lead and check registers twice daily and contact parents regarding absences.
Refer unauthorised absences to West Sussex for review.
Oversee admissions and leavers completing all the necessary paperwork
Assist with pupil first aid / welfare duties
To act as Medicines Administrator, administer prescribed medicine to children as required
Liaise with School nursing team
Administration of school gateway, Parent pay, Cypad and school photographs
Lead School Trips, arranging all off site visits by booking events, transport, costings and production of letters and emergency contacts with input from other staff.
Any other administrative task as delegated by Headteacher or School Business Manager
