Job Overview


We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and friendly administrator to support the day-to-day running of our Independent SEN school. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of school administration and will involve working closely with the leadership team, teaching staff, external professionals, and families.

Responsibilities



Monitor and maintain accurate pupil attendance records Follow up on absences and liaise with families in line with attendance procedures Generate reports and assist with data required for inspections or reviews Support the leadership team in identifying and tracking attendance concerns Provide administrative support to the Head teacher, SENCO, and leadership team Assist with the preparation and distribution of school letters, documents, and reports Manage, organise and maintain filing systems, databases and records Support the coordination of meetings, school events, and briefings Handle incoming calls, emails, and visitor enquiries in a professional and confidential manner Support with school communication, newsletters, and website updates as required Assist with the administration of EHCP review documentation, pupil files, and reports Provide admin support for staff recruitment and HR processes if required Support the coordination of transport, trips, and appointments for pupils Work flexibly as part of a small team to meet the evolving needs of the business Greet visitors, staff, and parents with warmth and professionalism Maintain a welcoming and safe office environment, following safeguarding protocols Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries

Qualifications



Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a school setting Excellent organisational, time management, and multitasking skills Strong communication skills - verbal and written Confident IT user (Microsoft Office and emails) A positive, flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism Understanding of safeguarding and willingness to undertake relevant training Knowledge of GDPR

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
