Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Complete meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed. Provide support in other areas as required, including serving when necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar environment. Home style cooking is what we do best. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food safety practices. Previous kitchen experience is highly desirable, along with knowledge of meal preparation techniques. Experience in meeting. range of food sensitivities and needs. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure. A passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes consistently for children.
