The Lead Cook is responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and presentation of school meals
Hours:
9am to 1.30pm term time only
Duties
Cook for roughly 80-100 children
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
Service for the children
General clean down of the kitchen
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Maintain records of food production, waste management, and other relevant kitchen metrics.
Skills
Strong culinary skills with experience in meal preparation within a similar environment.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance within the kitchen.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
