Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the School of Mathematics and Statistics as its School Manager. This is a fixed-term post for 1 year, to provide maternity leave cover.



You will effectively manage operations in the School, working alongside the Head of School and other senior academic staff, and provide line management to the Professional Services team.



Educated to degree level, you will be a proactive self-starter with excellent team and relationship management skills, sound judgement, and a strong problem-solving ability. You will have the initiative and drive to ensure the School's overall operations are delivered effectively, enhancing its reputation and standing in teaching and research.



Experience in a similar role in a University or research environment, with an understanding of teaching and research in Higher Education, would be an advantage.
