Working in partnership with students is a fundamental aspect of our creative education. Students are partners in practice, shaping and transforming the ways we think, make and be as collaborative and creative practitioners, learners and teachers. Partnership is therefore at the centre of our approach to teaching and learning and at the heart of our success.

School Officers are employed and salaried students in each of the GSA Academic Schools and across Postgraduate Research who will work in partnership with staff on the development and delivery of enhancement projects each academic session.

The purpose of the School Officer role is to harness student expertise to support GSA-wide educational enhancement projects. The role of School Officer provides direct student expertise into our enhancement areas, supporting the development and delivery of projects, and ensuring an effective and authentic student voice in our enhancement work.

School Officers will work in partnership with key staff in their area to provide support in developing effective partnership activities with students and staff, contributing to enhancement activities, gathering evidence and developing case studies, resources and/or policies.
