Amber Valley SSP CIO are a local non-for-profit organisation working in the borough of Amber Valley and looking to recruit highly motivated, talented sports coaches to engage students in sport and physical activity

We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated sport development professionals with experience of working within a school environment and sport & leisure setting. You will have the opportunity to develop your experience across a range of programmes and initiatives while supporting the organisation to develop successful strategies while integrating into well established programmes of delivery.
Applicants will be expected to have a flexible approach to working with an ability to engage with students across KS1 & 2 whilst communicating effectively with staff and other stakeholders.
Successful applicants will benefit from access to high quality PE planning and resources and will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced Sport Development professionals in order to develop their skills further
The successful written applicants will be expected to be interviewed and be observed working with students.

Purpose of the role:
Engage and enthuse students in PE & School Sport through exciting, well-structured extra-curricular clubs, events and community programmes.
Work with the Charity to develop local schools with their PE and School Sport Development
Contribute to achievement in schools through competition and/or health initiatives through extra-curricular provision
Develop strong relationships with schools by being an important ambassador of the organisation
Key Relationships
Headteachers, subject leaders and other staff in the local schools
Responsible to Operations Manager/Coaching programme lead
Responsible for maintaining the excellent relationships that have been built up by the Charity with stake holders in the schools consisting of Headteachers, PE Coordinators
Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services and initiatives to provide, information, advice and expertise on programme areas.
General Responsibilities
People Management - work with work experience pupils when required, work within the internal school structure and liaise with families, participants and staff.
Equality and diversity - adopt the Charity policy on equality and diversity found in the employee handbook
Health and safety - have understanding of the localities working within, safety of young people at all times, the local schools' policy on safety in their schools plus any resources you may have
Risk Management - identify any risks to the service with line managers, mitigate risks through foresight and planning, minimise risk to you and young people.
Maintain safeguarding principles for all young people and report any concerns to school/management effectively
